This Imperial IPA is bright and citrusy - old school San Diego. It features notes of citrus and pine from six varieties of classic Pacific Northwest hops. It has nearly 100 IBU's and with an 8.5% ABV it's surprisingly refreshing. This beer is in a can, although it's best enjoyed from a glass the can makes for easy travel.

August 12th, 2015 - A lighter, almost blonde looking IPA, it does look like some chunks of hops have been blended in (though it is far from a hazy IPA.) The flavor is very mild though, with light touches of juicy and ripe pineapple to go above and beyond the somewhat standard hop profile.

Pours burnt amber. One finger white head with great lacing. Aroma of orange peels. Taste is dank, citrus and pine. First one from benchmark. Nice imperial.

Poured from 16oz can into Snifter. No canning or freshness date.
L: Cloudy bronze, finger width off-white head.
S: Lots of citrus and pine, some herbal notes as well.
T: Again a lot of citrus, some pine and more herbal on the tongue than the nose.
F: Medium body, crisp, semi-dry with lingering hop residuals.
O: A very good IIPA. Would definitely drink this one again.

Pours a very light gold for the style, looks like a Pilsner in the glass. Aromas of grapefruit or other citrus are prevalent on the nose. Nice flavors, also citrus and maybe a bit of pine. Light and lightly fizzy on the tongue, this IIPA drinks like a session, but don't do that. Very little heat from the alcohol at the end. This is a really good beer, get it if you can.

Good initial smell. Initial taste Is very citrus forward but then just starts tasting like water.
