On tap at the Keyaki Beer Festival in Japan.
Well crafted with good balance and notable complexity. Has flavors of dark breads, light hops, toffee and negligible smoke. Partially hidden high ABV. Good aroma.
Very smooth, full body with very good carbonation and partially hidden high ABV.

F: Medium body, crisp, lingering dark fruit.

On tap at Tiger Tiger on El Cajon. Brew is a dark red brown with plenty of foam in the 0.4 litre nonic. Lush aroma of bready, slightly smoked malt, and a whiff of fruit.
Rich and malty but there's a sharp edge to balance the stuff. Even a hoppy bitterish aftertaste. Massive malt but not overly sweet. Really delicious beer, just what a strong Scotch ale ought to be. This should enhance Benchmark's reputation.
