August 31st, 2015 - A light beer at Toronado tonight, with a neon yellow Berlinerweisse. The aroma, light and slight with citrus, is a nice wake up call. The lemon verbena I smell is an engaging introduction of a cocktail or a wild flower field to the beer. And finally the breast crust taste gives some substance to the nose. The beer is definitely acidic, but only borderline sour. Once that acidity clears out the aftertaste is left with some oyster cracker, flavored with some dry lemon from the mid-taste. And the salinity is just barely present, but understated for the style. An interesting beer for sure.
