“The autumn leaves blow in the cold as the complexity of the bare tree branches are finally exposed. Sitting silently, the Raven. There’s nothing colder than the Raven’s cold black stare“,……….other than perhaps your ex’s heart.
Dating back to the 12th century, the Belgium Abbey Monks favoured dark flavourful ales, with one style known as Zwaartbier meaning, quite literally “black beer” . Our Dark Belgian Stout is a robust, malt forward, full bodied Zwaartbier you can enjoy. The specialty and chocolate malts give you a rich and complex finish. Pour, smell, and drink!

Not sure why this is listed on here as a Belgian dark beer but whatever. To me it's a standard stout & there's nothing in the taste that would make me think of it as Belgian. That said - it's fine with me as I don't like the Belgian taste anyway. Raven's Heart is a decent, but underwhelming stout with some nice burnt malt flavours.

A - Poured black with a thin layer of light brown head.
S - Belgian yeast, chocolate, roast and sweet molasses.
T - A big bitter roast profile is complimented by sweet molasses and licorice notes. The yeast that was evident in the nose is almost completely hidden. There's a slightly off-putting burn flavour happening here that detracts from the palate.
M - Medium body, creamy. Light carbonation.

Not a great stout, a creamier Guiness. Only Cafe.
