McChouffe brune is like many good winterbeers...
nice looking dark brown beer, with reasonable head and good lacing.
Bittersweet smell and taste of roasted malts and sugar, caramel, dark fruit. Modestly hoppy.
Like the blonde, this beer is particularly easy drinkable.
Being brewed in the Ardennen, a large nature area with lots of woods, maybe it's the springwater that makes this beer so smooth. The alcohol is well masked. It is quite sweet, but not over the top.

Found this in Luxembourg.
Pours a deep brown with a big off white head. The head faded into a small island the floated in the center of my beer while a thick lace was on the side. Aroma is of dark fruits, plums, prunes and a red wine. There is a bit of a musty cork scent floating around among it all. The taste is also of dark fruit but a hint of wine in it, a bit different but very nice. Body and mouthfeel are great and enjoyable. A beer for all to try.
