Dark brown color with a fluffy head with short retention.
Nice aroma with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, chili with smoked malts (not sure I would get the chili, if I didn’t know the recipe) and licorice.
Flavor starts roasted-smoked and semi-sweet and then giving space to the increasing chili. Notes of licorice, homemade coffee, mineral salt, caramels and chocolate. Dry aftertaste with a lingering smoked and spicy note.
Light body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 6% abv is well hidden.
Congratulations, this was a nice brew, the chocolate and chili combo reminded me of a Mole Poblano. Pleasant (ps. you got to like spices) and harmonic with the proposal.
One thing got me confused, it says Chipotle, but it seems they used jalapeños. I could have tasted either, given the combination of chili, sweet and smoke gives you something like chipotle.
