Tarnished gold with a slight haze, Bretta produces a huge sticky head of white foam from the bottle. A big Brett note jumps out immediately, along with a rustic, grainy aroma. Papaya, sourdough bread, overripe pineapple, and some yeasty phenols follow close behind. On the lighter side in terms of body, this is a tangy, effervescent, well-constructed Saison. Very drinkable with some tropical fruit character and a degree of delicacy. The long, drawn-out finish is initially dry, but leaves a trace of sweetness in its wake.
