On tap at bareburger, 9/27/14. Shaker. 5.4%. Decent lacing and little carb. Mild malty nose. Clean arrival, slightly sweet mid palate. Balanced and clearly American APA.

Solid pale ale from Homestead brewing. Pours a hazy amber, almost a copper colored ale with a thick white head and light foam with light lacing. Smell is grapefruit hops with a touch of sweetness. Taste is likewise, bracing grapefruit hops up front with mild caramel malt sweetness and a light dry finish yet still lightly sweet. An excellent session beer for the hop head, yet enough malt character to keep those who are not a hop head relatively happy. Improves vastly with warmth and gains in complexity. I am really beginning to like this brewery with each new beer I try. Cheers.

Poured from 22oz bottle no486. Deep gold color. Slightly cloudy with small but long lasting head. Smell is very floral, with added herbal and grass making it complex. The taste does not disapoint grapefruit hops, with floral and herbal tastes as well. There is also some malty sweetness. The feel is kind of dry, yet the hop does not overpower the finish. And quickly fades. As a pale ale this is a good one, complex flavored without the hit u over the head hop bitterness that sticks around too long.
