Not truly an American Blonde--brewers specify a British blonde, which is obviously not an option. Putting it in the next best thing.
Appearance is a slightly hazy golden color, with a nice one finger head. Good head retention the whole way through, with prominent lacing. Attractive beer.
Smell is sweet, fruit (citrus) forward, with slight hop presence. Got almost a froot loops smell? Bizarre, but it worked--malt mixed with fruits.
Taste is very pleasant--hop bite up front, unsure which--maybe fuggles, but that could just be me knowing it's British-influenced. Fades into a sweeter malt backbone, with lingering fruits. Complex taste for a lower-abv in a style I'm less familiar with.
Mouthfeel is good--impossibly drinkable, although maybe a little slick on the palate due to the sweetness. Has to be pretty high--I took down most of a growler.
My first beer from this newer brewery, and I won't hesitate to pick something else up from them.
