Thanks to Chris for the trade. Looking forward to an old ale from Ontario. Acquired in September 2015, opening in November 2015. I suspect it's still pretty young.
A little cloudy, good dark brown cola color. Not much carbonation. Almost no head. Smells sweet and fruity -- apple-y. Ingredients include molasses as the only extra flavoring (NOW I smell it).
Hops and acidity offset the sweet taste. Carmel apple in the mid-sip. Medium-long finish of fruit flavor. Medium body that "finishes" abruptly in a drying mouthfeel.
Not bad. I might buy it again depending on price.
