Dark amber with French vanilla-colored rimming cap of foam.
Strawberry, caramel, honeysuckle, bit of toast - more malt forward that I expected.
Brown bread and red berry jam, then blood orange juice, pomegranate, resin and cedar hops.
More strawberry, toffee, and pine needle in the finish and a piney dry linger.
Medium, well-chewy, no burn.
Big juicy red flavors. Surprised there's no crystal - roast + Munich get it done. Not as sticky or harsh as I'd expect of Simcoe + Nugget.
Too fruity and sweet (IBUs are buried) to be a true American Amber, but a lovely creature all its own.
