2014 bottle poured on 6/9/15 into tulip.
A: Delicious, toasted coconut, malty sweetness, Black malt, roasted malt, burbon, and definately some oak. Very nice.
A: Again, everything you want to see in a RIS. Very dark but crystal clear against light.
F: When this beer was cold it was very good. When cold there were roast malt, toasted Coconut, a little alcohol heat, and some backbone of dark malt. After it warms the alcohol really comes out, crushing any previous flavor profile. Aftertaste is low black malt, chocolate malt, alcohol heat, and a hint of burbon barrel you @ the end.
O: This is a good beer, almost great (not sure how the #'s work out). It's their first anniversary beer and it's worth a try. Don't seek it out but if you see it, try it cold and then warm. The change is one of the biggest I've ever noticed.
