Trying this beer at Local Roots in Powell, OH. It poured a clear amber with white head that left a wonderful lace. The scent had hints of faint malt. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. Finished a touch bitter that left the pallet clean. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid amber.

Had the Woodford Reserve Barrel Elektron last night at the Daily Growler. It's a very easy drinking beer. No idea how you can get that much bourbon taste at 7% ABV. Wow.

Amber ale from Actual Brewing Company in Columbus Ohio. Pours with nice tight beaded head and great lacing on the glass. Orange colored amber with spicy hops and roasted malts on the nose. Rye comes through on front and after taste, mellow and smooth. Herbal spicy hop notes (Ohio grown per the label) with a solid mouth feel. Hops come through without being bitter or overly hopped, caramel malts on after taste. A very good balanced example of an American style amber ale. Very good ale to pair with food as well as a solid session ale. The first of the Actual brews I have tried and so far a very good offering.
