750 ml bottle, bottle #245 of 600, best before January 2015 (I would have drank it sooner, but I only came across a bottle just this past week). Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a clear copper color with an inch off-white head that stuck around a long time. There's also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, rye/bready malt, and a bit of citrusy hops. It tastes like bourbon, oak/woodiness, vanilla, caramel and rye/bready malt and a bit of citrusy and bitter hoppiness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and coating with moderate carbonation. It's also smooth and easy to drink. I liked this brew, and if Actual decides to make this again I'll have to try it fresher. Definitely worth trying, but it is somewhat pricey at $16.99 a bottle.

A really nice, subtle rye IPA. Pleasantly copper, it offers hints of vanilla and bourbon with a slight edge of hoppy bitterness.
