750 ml bottle. Served in a Unibroue tulip, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold/amber color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like ginger, peppery spice, and toasted malt. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but I think the ginger flavor is stronger in comparison. There's also a nice amount of musty earthiness, along with a subtle lingering spicy kick from the ginger and pepper. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. It's also easy enough to drink. I think it's a nice twist to a bière de garde style ale, I enjoyed it. Also, if you like ginger, then you'll probably like this brew. I wouldn't mind trying this one again in the future. $9.99 a bottle.
