Brasserie O'Neil "I.P.A."
€6,80 / ,5L @ the brewery/restaurant on 21 June 2018
I should first off note that the "I.P.A." is not a regular bière at O'Neils but is quite often the bière du mois, and as such the recipe will most likely always vary. This one was just 5.0% ABV but 6.4% or even higher is probably more common. The color and hops and bitterness will changes as well, but this is what I sampled...
Notes: Slightly hazy deep amber/copper colored body beneath a finger's width of creamy white foam. Mild aroma - citrusy with a dark caramel maltiness. The flavor follows the aroma but it's more citrusy and it has some spicy hops to it. It has a solid bitterness, and a dry, bitter finish. It's medium bodied with a crisp, effervescent carbonation. It's crisp, clean, well balanced, and quite drinkable.
