Came to me with a creamy 1/2 finger head amber colored with much carbonation. Good lacing produced. Smell was of toasted malt, and caramel with spice in the background. Taste was of hops and grass. Light bitterness with floral hints lurking beneath. This beer had a light mouthfell. Not a bad beer, pretty ok in my opinion.

A glittering ruby color body with a good head retention. Not much to say about the smell, as the place was a smoker's paradise. The taste shows a nicely wooden profile, sharp and hoppy, with light hints of chocolate. Very red-fruity, with an impression of macerating grapes. Pleasing mouthfeel, ok drinkability.

I ve liked this beer much as the other O neil surprise Ive had. This microbrewery apparently focused most of their effort on the appearance of this less than normal brew with its amazingly bright, even radioactive cherry like red tone. Fantastic.

The taste, very malty and sweet but along the lines of a fine maerzen kind of brew. This is a good beer to try at Oneils; definetly.

PS: I dont give values for the smell, so difficult to define at a bar like this.

Pours a clear, amber color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of slight citrus hops, sweet malt, and slight metallic flavors. Fits the style of a Munich Dunkel Lager. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, slight roasted malt, slight hop, and slight metallic. Overall, good appearance and feel. The aroma and body suffer from the metallic notes.

Forgettable unremarkable shallow schlock.

Not undrinkable, just plain, with no interesting elements at all. Weak Amber malt taste. One-note.

On tap at the brewpub. Demi (small) for 3.20 Euros.

Crystal clear copper color. Light tan foamy head. Light caramel malt aroma. Beer described as "au malt grille" which to me means and all malt beer, and in this case I'm not sure they used hops. The first sip had a fishy taste and no hop bitterness to balance the malt with.

This is not a very good beer - lacking a hop profile and a unusual and offensive fishy flavor.

Pours an amber colour topped by a tanned white head which settles down rather easily. Taste and aroma are dominated by malt. The malty character is due to the grilled malt that is used to produce this beer. A well-balanced brew. I was surprised by this Amber Lager
