16oz can into snifter.
A: Pours a clear watery color with a a light orange tint. Very clear, brilliant, and light in color. Head was off white, very effervescent, and fleeting. No head or lace.
S: Right after the pour this smells of spritzy, briney, cracked wheat mixed with orange sceltzer water (in a good). Upon further investigation I get more sweet and juicy mandarin notes with subtle hints of toasted coconut. The mandarin/coconut almost gives off sweet tropical fruit scent at times of papaya and guava, maybe mango. Smells great. A light tartness is present as well.
T: Mandarin up front followed by mineral water flavors and then toasted coconut and a hint of grainy wheat. Very subtle lingering saltiness in the back of my cheeks in the aftertaste. Coconut has a slight sunscreen quality in the finish. Light citrus tartness throughout.
M: Finish has a very creamy lingering coconut oil quality that I find pleasant. Almost a greasy sensation left after the swallow. Light body, splashy carbonation, clean tart sensation with no acidity. Silky finish.
O: Very balanced between the light coconut and sweet citrus flavors with a balancing brine and lactic tartness. Enjoyable.

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and golden yellow in color with a white, quarter-finger width head that dissipates in about 30 seconds, leaving behind a barren surface with few bubbles found on the outer edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - Sour mandarin orange hits first, then sweet and slightly toasted coconut fill the nostrils, almost overshadowing the wheat underbelly. Definitely a saline aroma as well.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tart orange and salty flavor hits first which is quickly met with a sweet, slightly toasted coconut which strengthens by mid-taste. Finishes much the same, with lingering tartness, sweet coconut and the savory salt undertone.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with lightly bitey carbonation. slick texture with a crisp, slightly puckering and semi-dry finish.
Overall - This is the second gose in their Curiosite series, and both have been fantastic. Though I prefer the key lime offering, I couldn't fault anyone for preferring this one. Nice balance of the tartness and sweetness with that salty bite that brings everything together. New Glory is certainly helping to put Sacramento on the map of premiere craft brew cities in the US.
