This is the first time I've picked up a strong lemon aspect from a Citra beer. Present in both the nose and taste. Didn't care for it, so much so that is likely not repeat of this happened to be an off batch. Disappointing for my palate from a 100% Citra beer.

Had on-tap at Final Gravity in Roseville, CA
Appearance - Pours hazy and dull orange in color with an off-white, finger width head. Fair retention results in a mostly barren surface. No lacing.
Smell - Sweet, fruity orange aroma. Hint of dank.
Taste - Follows the nose. Prominent orange character, from juiciness to oil and some pithy bitterness. Faint pine. Some orange 'Vitamin C chewable' zing flavor; yeast and pith in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with fair carbonation. Drinks easy enough with a slightly chalky finish.
Overall - A fine NE-style DIPA, but a bit simple and doesn't hit with the depth or complexity that the top tier in the style do. For the price, I'd opt for something better.
