Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours slightly hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Fruity, tropical and citrus, slightly toasty biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Fruity, mango, melon, cantaloupe, passion fruit, and gooseberry, some citrus, orange and grapefruit, slightly toasty biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness. If they were going for balanced I think they strayed a bit too malty so the hops come across as dull.
M: A bit on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation but also feels a little under carbonated.
O: I was hoping for more out of this. It's not bad, but it'll go down in my book as "meh".

Canned date of 09/04/17
Appearance - Pours crystal clear and purely golden in color with an off-white, near finger width head. Sub-par retention results in a mostly barren surface with a razor thin ring around the edge of the glass. Lacing is near non-existant; just a handful of small spots are accounted for.
Smell - Citrusy notes of orange and grapefruit with lesser pineapple a hint of pine. Distant bready malt sweetness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Citrusy and slightly tropical with the orange, grapefruit and pineapple notes upfront, while a bit of pine and spice bite creeps in mid-taste, making a brief appearance, before reeling back. Finish is slightly juicy with a touch of pithy bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair, bitey carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish. Very chuggable.
Overall - Tasty pale and well crafted, but pure Citra bombs have been done to death, and this one offers little innovation. I'll enjoy it for what it is, but buying another 4-pack of cans is unlikely.
