Draft at the Happy Viking. Pale golden, light haze, spotty head. Malty aroma gets bigger in the taste, full and bready. Mild sweetness, faint bitterness. On target.

Another summer review coming at ya, and lemme tell ya, New Glory makes some good lagers, this one is no exception even if it still ranks behind a few others. Let's bang.
Pours the most familiar of golden colors in the beer world. 2/3" white head, good retention, not the best clarity, but otherwise a solid looking beer. Flaked wheat, so maybe that bunked up the clarity like it does in the hazies. Solid yeast presence in the nose, I like, yeasty, dry, hay, grain.
Taste is largely pushed by the yeast and its the best thing about both the taste and aroma. Lightly bready, well carbonated mouth feel, still the cereal grain thing going for it, I guess I can see a bit why the pinch of flaked wheat works here. Its not my favorite lager from them, but I swear it might be like the 5th or 6th, and that is pretty impressive for a relative new money brewery that pushes a lot more old money styles than you might think.

Appearance - Pours with a hint of haze and golden yellow in color with a white, finger width head. Displays fair retention before dying down to a thin, broken layer of suds with a thin ring encircling the edge of the glass. Not much for lacing, save a small handful of tiny spots.
Smell - Aroma hits on notes of cereal grain sweetness, hint of hay and some mild lemon.
Taste - Follows the nose. Sweet cereal grain with a hint of hay upfront and throughout. Mild oat character. Light note of lemon sneaks in mid-taste and rides beneath into the finish, bringing about a sweet, mildly tart aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a smooth finish.
Overall - As far as Helles Lagers go, this one is pretty darn good. There's just enough flavor here to keep it interesting while not going out of the style to make it happen.

The beer pours out a clear pale golden straw color, with 2 fingers of white head-------------- the aromas are of sweet grains, lager yeast, bread dough and lesser floral/grass---------------- the flavors are of Bread dough, grains, wheat, and lesser grass, this beer has a medium mouthfeel with a light lingering bitterness--------------- overall this beer was nice, it's a rich lager with lots of malt balanced out with a nice grassy flavor---
