Had this in Summer 2018, just one of what is getting to be a handful of good hoppy lagers that NG makes.
Pours a cloudy yellow. 1/2" white head. Oh man the aroma on this, all the lager sulphur feels, they say its the Augustiner yeast and damn if it isn't lovely. But wait, there's more! Saaz and Saphir (can't tell) hops are in this, and the Saaz are plentiful, floral and bind with the yeast aroma to leave this consumer quite impressed. I mean, you wanna talk hoppy lager aromas that aren't 100% reliant on the hops, this is where its at.
Taste is similarly impressive for the same reasons. Its not mega hopped, but it is well hopped but not over the top so that the yeast stays at the forefront. Its like a good tag team like the Hart Foundation, where each guy brings a totally different set of qualities that make the team even better than say, almost anyone else.
All the requisite hay, grass, lemon, lemongrass, sunny day references on the malt bill. Good stuff, will buy again.

Hoppy Pilsner
From a can.
This poured a clear straw-good with a bright white cap of foam. I get a bit of a bready-biscuity character, with a grassy hop note on the nose. Tastes grassy and crisp, with just a touch of piney sap on the end.

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and golden in color with a white, finger width head. Fair retention results in a mostly barren surface with a thin line of suds encircling the glass. Not much for lacing, save a small spot or two.
Smell - Hay, bread, lemon and hints of grass on the nose.
Taste - Earthy hay upfront and throughout before the hops kick in with hints of grass and floral notes, then light, bright citrus emerges as it rounds out into the finish. Hops die down in the aftertaste, leaving that earthen hay flavor to dominate in the lingering aftertaste. Tends to balance out as it warms, especially with hints of lemon adding some much needed counterpunch to the hay-like maltiness.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with fair, tingly carbonation.
Overall - Pretty damn solid pilsner after giving it a bit of time to breathe and warm up. I was not a fan when first cracked. That said, I much prefer their Circles and Lines Export Lager if I'm in the mood for one of their non-ale brews.
