From the 06/29/18 can release
Appearance - Pours opaque and the faded yellow-orange with an off-white, near two-finger width head. Solid retention before peeling back to a thin, consistent layer of suds, thickening up around the edges. Fair lacing, mostly consisting of a few chunky spots and some smaller spotting.
Smell - The aroma hits on notes of melon, evergreen, white grapefruit pith and dank. Papaya livens up as it warms.
Taste - Follows the nose. Equal notes of pine, leafy greens and grapefruit hit the tongue first before a hint of melon smooths things over. Distant papaya at first, but becomes more prominent as the brew warms. Actually opens up and becomes quite tropical and juicy once it hits near room temp, while the pine and leafy notes take a backseat. Finish turns a touch pithy with moderate bitterness balancing the fruity juiciness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy, silky texture makes this an easy drinker before a crisp, dry finish.
Overall - Give this one a chance to breathe and warm up. Straight from the fridge it drinks more like a West Coast style beer, but at warmer temps it's an amazingly juicy hazy brew with nice depth and complexity. It's tough to say if I like it more than the OG last batch, but I doubt a side-by-side would be possible given the staggered release dates, if they even release either one again at all.
