Not normally a red fan, but its easier to tick one when there are flights and small 5oz pours. Easy choice when you haven't seen a red lager since. . . ?
Right away its a sexy looking red, that ruby glistening when held up to the light and as much clarity as you can have per style, 3/4" off white head, good retention. Has a decent hoppy aroma for a red, some hints of grapefruit, trees and tea, paired with a Vienna lager yeast that is also middle of the road in terms of intensity. Can't tell if we're dealing with noble hops or traditional American C hops, but it smells nice, so that is all that matters.
Taste was crisp, this isn't a heavy peaty earthy red lager, it has a nice carbonation level and bouyancy with the hop bitterness. Its not a thick syrupy, sticky caramel bomb, its like a drip of caramel into a swift moving river. I'd honestly buy a 4 pack if it was priced in the $3 a can range.

Amber Brown and filtered, with lots of carbonation and topped with two fingers of head.
Smells of caramel, toffee and malts with a hint of Munich hops.
The taste follows the nose completely. I think I’m drinking a Munich Dunkel.
Light body with slight carbonation. I got this in Redding and I’m now drinking it here September 7, 2018. I was in Sacramento last weekend, and couldn’t find this brewery there so I was glad to find it in my fridge when I got home.

Appearance - Pours clear and brilliant dark amber in color with a light sandstone, near two-finger width head. Fair retention before dissipating to a mostly barren surface with a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. No lacing save a few small spots.
Smell - Sweet graham cracker-like malt, floral hops, faint grain.
Taste - Follows the nose. Light, sweet malt that has a fair graham cracker sweetness to it, then hints of grain, floral and distant spice come into play. Finishes much the same, as all flavor components fade away rather evenly.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair, bitey carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a crisp, mostly dry finish.
Overall - Pretty good amber lager. It didn't do anything to persuade me to buy it again considering the price, but I'm glad to have tried it.
