Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces rather nicely.
S: Pine and citrus zest take the lead, light tropical and stone fruit, slightly grassy, biscuity malt, and just a touch of sweetness.
T: Zesty citrus leads, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and tangerine, resinous pine, tropical and stone fruit, mango, peach, apricot, and hints of passion fruit and pineapple, slightly grassy, biscuity malt, and only a touch of sweetness.
M: A bit on the lighter side of medium body, slightly prickly carbonation.
O: More of a citrus and pine show than I was expecting, but I'm not complaining. There's still some tropical fruit there to add some nice depth.

So I've already reviewed the DDH version of this beer, let's give the base version a review, looks like I ran into this around Sac Beer Week 2018.
Looking right away at the scores, this one interestingly enough had the same aroma score, but a slight reduction in appearance and mouthfeel, but largely, the beers are within 5% of the same score. So is it worth it? I dunno, depends on if there is a cost variance.
Anyways, the beer pours a hazy little yellow. 1/2" white head. Aroma is nice, all the sweet citrus and tropical fruit you would expect from a Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra hopped beer. Dank pineapple, tangerine, papaya type of feels, and oh yeah, can't not mention the weed like notes from the beer.
Taste continues on the same path, lots of sweet tropical fruit notes without being a sugary beer. Mouth feel scored lower in my notes than the DDH version, I guess the back end aftertaste was replete with even more enjoyable hop notes? Either way, they're pretty similar, in that they're really good, cool can artwork and plenty crushable.

The beer pours out a murky medium golden yellow color, with 2 fingers of white head and beautiful lacing------------ the aromas are of orange, orange zest, pine and lesser tropical fruit-------------- the flavors are of orange, orange peel, pine and lesser berry, the beer has a soft mouthfeel with a pine like bitterness on the finish-------------- overall this beer was exceptional - this one was so smooth and easy drinking, it's not to complex just the perfect amount of pine and citrus with a perfect soft mouthfeel

From the 08/24/18 can release
Appearance - Pours hazy and rustic orange in color with an off-white, near two-finger width head. Fair retention before dissipating to a thin, broken layer of suds with a fair ring around the edge of the glass.
Smell - Citrusy, lightly spicy and slightly tropical.
Taste - Follows the nose. Fair citrus upfront, and also a touch of spice. Faint hints of pineapple and dragonfruit. Finish is lightly pithy but mostly dry, stonefruit pit nuttiness.
Mouthfeel - On the lighter side of medium bodied with fair carbonation. Slick but quickly turns very dry; bone dry. Not the smoothest of drinkers.
Overall - Really not feeling this one, and while it's not terrible, for the price there are so many amazing beers that can be readily had. I'll not be buying this one again. Disappointing considering the combination of Galaxy, Citra and Mosaic.
