Guten tag! This traditional Marzen is brewed with 100% German malts, and fermented with our German lager yeast. You'll enjoy rich, full aromas and flavors of toasted caramel malts and biscuits. This here is a clean, easy drinker with a snappy dryness and low bitterness level. Prost! Coming in at 5% ABV.

From a can. Pours a clear gold with an inch of loose foam. The nose is grainy and sweet with bit of herbal hops. The taste follows the nose. Balanced toward sweetness with herbal hops and biscuity malt. Medium bodied and smooth. More of a Fest bier than a true oktoberfest (märzen).

From Beer Drop. Canned September 8th.
It pours a clear pale gold with a smallish head of foam, not much lacing.
The smell is spicy hops, toasted malt with some sweet caramel, biscuit, pretty massive aromas.
The taste is almost as good as the smell; I reckon that this where the age of the beer comes in. Caramel and toasted malt dominate and are on the dull side. The hops seem to have held up better. Nice and spicy.
Low end of medium bodied.
Could have been a contender when fresh?
Oh, and my can says 5.0%abv.

Copper orange with a slight cloudiness, lots of carbonation and a half finger of light beige head.
Smells of light, toasted malts.
Tastes of toasted malts, apple juice, clean linen, corn breath and a light sweetness.
Medium body, with a moderate, silky carbonation.
Got in Redding where I am drinking it, Oct 29th, 2018. Very good local brew.

I've been drinking A LOT of the Oktoberfest beers from Ayinger, Sierra Nevada/Weihenstephener collab., and various other German breweries lately. This beer compares very favorably to all of them on everything except appearance. Rich, full aroma and taste, outstanding feel, just want to keep on drinking. This is a terrific Marzen right there with the best of them.

From the 09/??/18 can release
Appearance - Pours clear and pure copper in color with a sandstone, half finger width head that fizzes away in due time, leaving behind a mostly barren surface with a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass.
Smell - Earthy hay and bready/biscuity malts with some muted grassy, floral and citrus hops.
Taste - Follows the nose. Mostly an earthen hay and slightly sweet bready malt base before hops hit mid-taste with lesser notes of citrus, floral and grassy bitterness. Finish is still mostly earthy and sweet with malt with dwindling notes of the hop flavors while a hint of spice sneaks in.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, near silky texture makes this a damn easy drinker with a quaffable quality.
Overall - I respect it, New Glory. Solid, traditional offering, but it just doesn't do much for me. Too earthy for my Okto preference.
