American Double IPA brewed in collaboration with our friends at Drake’s Brewing Company. It’s brewed and dry hopped with Cascade Cryo, Amarillo, and Simcoe Hops and fermented with grapefruit purée and our expressive ale yeast.

From the can release
Appearance - Pours semi-clear and golden orange in color. Off-white, finger width head that fizzes down in under a minute's time, revealing a thin, broken layer of suds with a thick ring around the edge of the glass. A small handful of small, broken lines and spots make up a sparse amount of lacing.
Smell - Hoppy aroma, with a slight edge to grapefruit character and a hint of caramel.
Taste - Follows the nose. Citrusy and slightly piney upfront with a moderate caramel malt sweetness backing it. A bit of prominent grapefruit notes show up throughout, but honestly if I hadn't read the can I would have never guessed puree was used. Finish is slightly pithy and slightly nutty/earthy.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Drinks Pretty smooth and easy; you wouldn't know it was 8.2%.
Overall - Outside a smidge of that grapefruit flavor, it's not much more than your typical West Coast DIPA. Drinkable for sure, but nothing much that's particularly interesting about it.

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Citrus, grapefruit definitely comes through, pine, slightly dank, light tropical fruit, biscuity malt, and light caramel sweetness.
T: Big citrus, plenty of grapefruit, as well as some lemon and orange, a bit of tropical fruit, passion fruit, apricot, and a hint of pineapple, spicy pine, biscuity bready malt, and light caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate but still lively carbonation, somewhat soft on the palate.
O: So many NEIPAs lean tropical fruit heavy, it's nice to see grapefruit get some attention. Tasty!
