From tasting notes 12/07/18
Had on tap at New Glory Eatery in Rocklin, CA
Appearance - Served up 8oz into a 10oz nonic, deep berry red color with a thin broken layer of suds sitting atop and a fair ring around the outside of the glass. A few broken lines and spots make up the lace.
Smell - Not much of a descriptive aroma until it starts to warm, then you can find the notes of lime and cherry. Maybe some lemongrass like character, too. Interesting aroma, but it doesn't really smack you with distinctive qualities.
Taste - Much like the aroma, the cherry and lime are easy to pick out, but the rest is a bit muddled. Mildly tart upfront and throughout, with vague underlying sweetness. Not really picking up any distinct hop qualities outside a touch of floral character. Finish is more sweet than tart, before flipping back to tart in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with tingly carbonation. Smooth drinker before a crisp, semi-dry finish.
Overall - Probably a much better beer if you just sit back and enjoy it rather than try to analyze and pick it apart like I've just done.
