Another review from the visit to the Granite Bay location in late February. Pours comes in a dark gold color, 1/3" white head. The aroma kicked down some familiar tropical weed notes commensurate with the Mosaic hop. The Eukanot brings similar notes in a less pungent way, so the only contribution here is its similar to the Sabro hop's green bellpepper green hop burn note. Its here. Its happening.
The Simcoe hop pushes the bitterness in the taste and mouth feel. Its a familiar, well utilized kind of pungent bitterness that is neatly placed alongside the other aromatic hops. The body is tame and out of the way while providing cover for the alcohol, and that is no small accomplishment. Double ipas a decade ago were massively bitter, boozy and thick. This is relatively light in comparison, and it definitely hides the alcohol while keeping the ibus under 75 I would guess.
Love the Rancid reference, even though this beer is pretty good, it isn't up to the world class standards of that album.

From tasting notes 02/02/19
Had on tap at New Glory Eatery in Granite Bay, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 16oz nonic, murky and orange in color, broken layer of suds. Strong lacing with broken sheeting, lines and small spotting.
Smell - Mostly a dank aroma with lesser mango and a hint grapefruit.
Taste - Follows the nose. Mostly dank with hints of grapefruit and mango. Finishes the same.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick drinker before a dry, chalky finish.
Overall - More classic WC than hazy, but definitely has that chalky that hazies sometimes have.

Pours a murky, turbid, dirty darkish yellow-orange color with quickly dissipating white head leaving lots of frosty lacing. Nose is mildly fruity and slightly dank. Taste is lots of zesty citrus with more piney dankness, definitely tasty. It appears to be more of a NE style DIPA than just an IPA as the can states. Interesting collaboration from New Glory and Bike Dog.
