Consumed January 2020. Dig still seeing one of the stickers on the way to the river at Pitt Dam.
Pours a familiar golden yellow color. Its more clear than cloudy, but not going to beat the big boys in the clarity department. Notes of Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe in seemingly 33 1/3 kind of ratios in this one, the notes of citrus, passion fruit, weed, pine, guava, grapefruit all seem in tandem.
Taste might lean Simcoe pine and grapefruit slightly more than the others, but not by much. Underneath there is a citron, lime presence, and Mosaic seems to be fading off into the sunset as the other hops continue to exert themselves moreso. Body is average dryness, but excels in terms of having a hearty but enjoyable bitterness level and barley body able to absorb 8.5% alcohol like a champ.
Beers like this made me stop going all the way into Sac for beer (unless I want some BBQ). Dat Auburn corridor is cheaper and just as good (if not better). Super reliable banger.

Sweet, tropical/slightly citrus, hints of pine, caramel malty, and hoppy nose! Ha! Taste follows well with well-balanced trop-citrus vibe on the finish. Malty sweetness is upfront and through the swallow. Nice depth and mouthfeel to this bad boy. And it holds it's 8.5% ABV well...you only start to notice it as it warms a bit. Really good!

From the 11/22/19 can release
Appearance - Pours light orange in color and with a slight haze. White, near finger width head displays fair retention before dying to a thin, broken layer of suds. Thick lacing, with a fairly uniform sheet covering a good portion of the glass, breaking down into lines and spotting at the edges.
Smell - A sweet, savory aroma, like buttered toffee, with a fair amount of hop scent as well. Citrusy,
Taste - Follows the nose. A sweet, sultry buttered toffee base which the hops play off of, with hints of orange, pineapple, papaya and maybe even some lime near the finish. Traces of pine and dank also hit near the end. Aftertaste rings with a slightly bitter citrus rind and some of that consistent buttery toffee sweetness.
Mouthfeel - On the thicker side of medium-bodied with fair carbnonation. Smooth, slightly creamy texture that sits on the tongue long after a slightly dry, slightly crisp finish.
Overall - This is a tasty new age West Coast DIPA. Reminds me how good New Glory DIPAs can be, and why I should be buying them more often.
