Second beer I had on the trip to New Glory in November 2019. Was intrigued, I don't think I've seen them tackle this bordering on commercial suicide style.

Pours black, 1/3" tan colored head, was expecting it to be bigger and better retention, but still attractive. Holy moly, here is where this beer excels, massive roast out of a session strength stout, I can dig it man, really hits the massive dry roasted malt button. Solid clapping at this point.

Taste follows in the vein of the aroma, its just a massive roasted body but drinks so easily. This is how you do session stouts. Its crisp, good combination of a appropriate carbonation, heavy roast without shock and awe bitterness or acridity, and then the Styrian hops, which appear to work well in this style of beer. Another aspect of the best of both worlds, I think this can be a gateway beer for those who think they'll never like a dark beer, but it is also so top notch that passionate stout fans will also be into it.
