Hawaiian vacation in a can, anyone? This beer is kind of like that. To start, we brew it with milk sugar for that decadent creamy quality. It then moves to the big tank where we add a whole lotta pineapple puree, fresh coconut, toasted coconut, and vanilla. Finally, we lay it to rest for a while. The sweetness of the pineapple and coconut balance out the hoppiness of this double IPA. Who needs rum anyway?

Appearance - Pours hazy and light orange in color with a frothy, near two-finger width head before dialing down to a near barren surface with a very thin ring of circles around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - Coconut milk and zingy pineapple. Very faint vanilla.
Taste - Follows the nose. Fresh. sweet coconut, lesser pineapple zing and a creamy vanilla sweetness that rides beneath. Finish is mostly coconut with lingering pineapple zing and fading vanilla.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, slightly creamy texture before a semi-dry finish.
Overall - It's good. Interesting, but also a strange flavor combination given vanilla and cream; it really needed a fruity tartness like strawberries or cherries to off-set the coconut. Probably my least favorite of the Mindshaker series I've tried, but it's not terrible in the least.
