Thick and chewy, just like our favorite 'Twin Sticks' candy bar(s). Viscous and rich, like your palate after inhaling those chocolatey treats. Just like your favorite impulse buy in the checkout aisle. We layered this imperial stout with cacao nibs, vanilla beans, caramel, and real chocolate candy bars.

Canned 10/29/20
Appearance - Pours black with cola brown edging where light can penetrate, and a tan, two-finger width head that dissipates fairly quickly, leaving a barren surface, with a few tiny bubbles found around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - Sweet notes of chocolate and caramel on the nose. Hints of vanilla and roast.
Taste - Follows the nose. Fudgy chocolate and caramel upfront and throughout, with lesser vanilla adding some depth. Mid-taste brings a hint of roast, then a slight astringency and more roast as it rounds the finish and lingers in the aftertaste, though caramel and chocolate are still prominent.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with low-to-moderate carbonation. Soft but thick texture, like a fleece jacket, then it gets a bit dry and leaves some stickiness on the lips in the finish. Smooth considering it's nearly 15% ABV.
Overall - Much too fudgy and roasty for me to think Twix, but it's a damn solid imperial dessert stout all the same. Would I pay $12 for a 19.2oz can again? Probably not.
