Canned 12/02/20
Appearance - Pours hazy and light orange in color, with an off-white, finger width head. Sub-par retention, settling to a thin, broken layer of suds, thickening up around the edges with a frothy ring. Some broken webbing, lines and small spotting make up the lacing.
Smell - Very citrusy in the aroma. Lots of orange, with lesser pineapple and hints of tropical goodness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Quite orange-y. Lesser pineapple, with touches of guava and mango. I'm picking up a bit of berry essence near the finish? Non-descript, but it's there. Not zingy, more on the sweet side. Aftertaste is pretty balanced, with fair fruitiness, hints of yeast and and a neutral, earthen oat character.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth and silky texture, granted largely to the oats used.
Overall - Pretty damn good hazy IPA. While the can describes notes of berry, I'm only picking up faint traces. Regardless, it's got great balance, goes down easy and I'm hoping I can still find a 4-pack.
