We took one batch of a big 8.0% imperial kettle sour and split it into two. One for me and one for you. Mine is a crazy concoction with in-your-face tropical flavors inspired by the Blue Hawaiian cocktail. Oh, and it’s blue.

Appearance - Pours hazy and teal in color with a seafoam green, finger width head. Sub-par retention, leaving behind a mostly barren surface with a few patches in the middle, and a thin ring around the edge of the glass. A few tiny spots make up a sparse lacing.
Smell - Moderate coconut aroma with hints of tart pineapple and citrus.
Taste - War Head like candy tartness, with the lemon, pineapple and orange really blending well to deliver that flavor. Coconut gets a bit buried beneath that candied tartness.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth drinker, but with a sharp, dry finish.
Overall - Pretty tasty Blue Hawaiian inspired sour, and much better than the one Burning Barrel dropped a year ago. The only knock is that the coconut could stand to be more prevalent, but outside that it's pretty, pretty good.
