I'm adding a beer to the database and reviewing it, because I'm not a total scumbag (partial credit tho).
So, this is a black gose. Wild. But here's a sneak peak: Its not just unique, its also good.
Pours blackish brownish like cola. Head formation and especially retention is not this beer's strong suit. Smells salty and sour. Did not pick up usual dark beer notes like roasted malt in the nose. Smells like gose at the ocean.
Taste is pretty good, there is almost nothing to differentiate this from a normal gose if you close your eyes and just drink it. The salinity content is higher than average, but hey, oyster shells gonna oyster shell! It isn't excessive in its sour or saltiness, unlike you when someone doesn't adopt your worldview. The lemon like sourness is completely opposite of what you think you would come up with when looking at the beer, and the dry back end, you also might not see coming. Beers like this and Tart of Darkness are good for challenging preconceptions.
