Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours faintly hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Grassy, slightly herbal, citrus zest, pine, underlying tropical and stone fruit, bready malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, mango, papaya, pineapple, guava, and a hint of blueberry, citrus slowly comes out, lemon, lime, grapefruit, and a touch of tangerine, subtle grassy earthy tones, slightly grainy bready malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, somewhat mild carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: I guess is a new school West Coast IPA; some bitterness but not overly aggressive and soft on the palate. First couple sips were a bit more NE style with the tropical and stone fruit taking the lead before the citrus showed up. It's not bad, but I think the bready malt and kinda grassy earthy tones from the hops let it down. I wouldn't turn down another pint if it was handed to me, but I'd probably order something else for myself.
