This brew captures the essence of sun-drenched days and cool, breezy nights. Born from the fertile soil of the Central Valley, it marries the bright, citrus and pine notes of fresh, wet Cascade Hops from Thomsen Farms Hops in Tracy with smooth Pilsner malt, carefully crafted by Admiral Maltings in Alameda. They use a barley variety called Butta12 bred by UC Davis, and grown in Esparto, CA. The yeast we use is engineered by Berkeley Yeast. They create yeast strains that reduce or eliminate the use of resource-intensive crops by producing the exact same flavor compounds found in fruits and other edible plants. Each sip of Valley Vibes celebrates the land’s bounty and the craftsmanship of our farmers.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and leaves plenty of nice lacing.

S: Resinous spicy pine, grassy herbal notes, plenty of citrus zest, nice floral hit, and some bready malt.

T: Green grassy spicy herbal notes, citrus, grapefruit and lemon, a little pine, floral notes, bready malt, and a crisp dry finish.

M: Sits just a touch on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: I recently got to spend a week in Washington during fresh hop season and drank my fair share of fresh hop beers. Wasn't expecting to find such a solid one when I got back. Classic case of keep it simple stupid, really pulling the most out of fresh Cascade hops and using them in a very classic style West Coast IPA recipe that perfectly fits them. Really wish they noted that it's a fresh hop IPA on the front of the lable instead of just in the description on the back. I think this one is gonna get slept on.
