Aroma has got resin-like hop notes with a medium citrus nose. Taste is medium bodied with the clementine notes only peeking through in the backing. Hop notes with maybe a slight bread note of malt poking through those very prevalent hops. Palate is full bodied with a sticky texture, medium carbonation and a lingering citrus note in the finish.

Pours Amber. Short, foamy off white head fades slowly.
Smells caramel, citrus, orange and bready.
Tastes sweet orange, bready malt, peach, fruit and citrus peel. Finish is semi dry with a citrus peel and grassy linger. Medium body and creamy medium carbonation.

The can I had was 6 months old. I have no idea whether it would be different fresh

Solid citrus and pine, nice kick in ABV so watch out it goes down smooth.

I picked up a can of Griffin Claw's Project Clementine last week for $2.79 at The Lager Mill. I've had this beer before at a couple beer fests, but now that it's in cans I thought I would give it a proper review, so lets see how it goes. 2017 Vintage. Poured from a 12oz can into an IPA glass.
A- The can looks nice, it's much better then them selling it a waxed bomber, it's just a little eye catching. It poured a nice amber red color that took on more of an orange color when held to the light and it had two fingers worth creamy very light tan head that died down to a thin ring that stayed till the end and left some nice rings of patchy lacing behind. This is a good looking beer, I have no complaints.
S- The aroma starts off with a lower amount of high sweetness with the citrus fruits being the first to show up and it imparts a heavy orange and grapefruit like aroma with some citrus juice and a little bit of citrus rind aromas coming through too. Up next come some doughy yeast that leads into a sweet boozy aroma and it's followed by the malts which impart some grainy, sweet malt, pale malt and light biscuit like aromas. This beer has a nice aroma, but it's a little on the sweet and boozy side.
T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma and it starts off with a lower amount of high sweetness with the citrus still being the first to show, but it's a little lighter this time and not as juicy, it imparts more of a citrus rind flavor this time. Up next comes a little bit of doughy yeast that goes into the alcohol which is just a little stronger than it was in the aroma and imparts a sweet boozy flavor that's a little on the warming side. Towards the end comes the malts which impart all the same aspects that they did in the aroma, but they show up a little more this time and right at the end there's some green hop flavors. On the finish there's a medium amount of bitterness with a little more booze and sweetness that carries into the aftertaste along with some citrus rind and malty flavors. This is a decent tasting beer, but I think the booze could be better hidden and when mixed with sweetness it becomes a little too much.
M- Not the smoothest, a little cloying, a little boozy, sticky, a little crisp, on the slightly lighter side of being full bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. The mouthfeel is decent, but I wish it was smoother with the alcohol being better hidden.
Overall I thought this was a decent beer and it was pretty close to being average for the style, the hop profile wasn't the greatest and the combo of the sweetness and booze didn't help with the citrus flavors alone not being enough to save it. This beer didn't have good drinkability, one is more than enough for me. What I like the most about this beer is the appearance, it's a good looking beer. What I like the least about this beer is the taste and drinkability, they both could use a good amount of work. I don't think I would buy this beer again and I might turn one down and I can't say I would recommend it, there's many citrus heavy DIPAs on the market that are better in my opinion. All in all I wasn't a big fan of this beer, i remember thinking it was solid when it I had it on tap, it seemed to have more citrus intensity and I think that covered up a lot of the lfavors that I didn't like when I had this time around. It's one of my least favorite Griffin Claw beers and it's average at best for the style. Better luck next time guys, this one could use some work.

Poured from a can dated 12-1-16 into a stemless wine glass
It produced a decent amount of light tan foam with a moderate amount of retention on top of a very dark copper to brown amber colored beer. Mostly cloudy.
It smells, in order, like tangerine, sweet caramel malts, and a bit of spicy pineapple and mango.
Lots of orange flavor. Especially in the aftertaste. Some spicy mango and pineapple mixed in there. Very malty with a sweet bread flavor. Some bitterness creeps in toward the end.
Body is a little bit heavy and slightly syrupy, which makes sense based on the significant malty aroma and flavor.
If you are looking for an ipa featuring orange/tangerine/clementine, you probably want to check this one out. Otherwise, it is not done as well as some others, like Enjoy By, in my opinion
