2014 Bottling
Appearance: Pours fudge brown with a thin cap that fades to a collar; a few dribbles of lacing
Smell: Chocolate fudge, Bourbon and oak; hints of coffee
Taste: The chocolate and Bourbon intermingle with just a touch of coffee emerging; more Bourbon and oak flavors, after the swallow, with a finish that verges toward the Bourbon
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low to moderate carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall: Still a decent drinker, after five years, and I was surprised to detect some coffee; I would have thought the Bourbon would have been more subdued at this point in its development

Pours a dark brown almost black color with khaki colored head. Whiskey, nice strong bourbon on the nose, with some chocolate and oak notes; follows onto the palate. Full bodied. Finishes with whiskey, oak, and chocolate sweetness.

A- Pretty dark, with little to no head
S- Strong smell with roasted malts and coffee. Mild hint from the bourbon barrel.
T- Comparable to the aroma, coffee with the roasts. Not too sweet, not too bitter. slight hint of the bourbon barrel, but just the right amount. Taste is definitely this beers strong point.
M- Thick but not crazy.
O- Great brew from Griffin claw, higher ABV, Bold Taste, great experience. only drawback is I only purchased 1 bottle.
