22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; 2016 vintage bottling. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge pineapple, tangerine, peach, passion fruit, papaya, apricot, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big pineapple, tangerine, peach, passion fruit, papaya, apricot, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, tangerine, peach, passion fruit, papaya, apricot, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

From a wax dipped bomber to a snifter. This is their single mosaic experimental. Look is much darker than I expected, almost the color of iced tea or bourbon. Smell is juicy mosaic, but also lots of sweet malt. Taste is more of the same. Nice hop bitter up front, but the malt sweetness comes in strong. The hop bitter doesn't hang long in the palate. Feel is a bit slick, and the carbonation a bit light. Slight alcohol heat, which is surprising from a 7% beer. Overall just average. I prefer mosaic promise from Founders as a single mosaic that lets the hop shine.
