22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; bottled in 3/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of lemon, grapefruit, blackberry, pineapple, orange, citrus peel, mint, licorice, light pepper/pine, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, grapefruit, blackberry, pineapple, orange, citrus peel, mint, licorice, light pepper/pine, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, grapefruit, blackberry, pineapple, orange peel, mint, light pepper/pine, cracker, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Very unique hop profile; not too bold or bitter on hop flavors, but has nice complexity. A very enjoyable offering.
