Dark chocolate. Check. Salted caramel. Check. Candied pecans. Check. Is this too much to put in one beer? Absolutely not. After 9 months of aging in bourbon barrels under master brewer’s strict supervision and climate control, this imperial stout stout is then loaded with Himalayan salted caramel, candied Georgia pecans, and the finest of dark chocolates. This culinary combination of specialty ingredients meld together creating a libation both savory and sweet.

Pours a black color with a foamy tan head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is caramel and roasted malt. Tastes of sweet caramel with a bit of salt and bourbon at the end. Alcohol isn't overpowering but brings a good flavor.

166 ounce can into snifter, canned on 10/18/2019. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, pecan, coffee, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon, sea salt, toasted oak, biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, raisin, fig, cherry, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/black/roast/bready malts, caramel, salt, pecan, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, pecan, coffee, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon, sea salt, toasted oak, biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, molasses, raisin, fig, cherry, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, pecan, coffee, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon, sea salt, toasted oak, biscuit, dark/brown bread/crust, coconut, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, caramel, salt, pecan, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome hop/char bitter/sweet and bourbon/oak spiciness balance; with no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mild increasing warmth of 12%, with minimal lingering barrel booze after the finish. Overall this is an amazing flavored barrel aged Russian imperial stout. All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, caramel, salt, pecan, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV, with the modestly bitter/charred/tannic/drying finish. Great soft/silky feel, not overly bitter/charred. Perfectly balanced between rich malts, pecans, caramel, sea salt, bourbon barrels, earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering bitter/tannic dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing spot on style example as expected. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Basically tastes exactly how its called.
Barrel aged salted caramel pecans.

Look is attractive.
Fluffy off white head.
Settles to nice outer lace thru out.
Sticky web like lace as well.
Nose is caramel and pecans. Some light notes of barrel
Taste is salty sweet. More barrel, then pecan followed by caramel sweetness. Each flavor doesn't overpower one another. Definitely feel the salt on the end.
Body is medium. Medium carbonation.
Slightly sticky mouthfeel.
Saltiness adds a juicy yet dry finish.
