Looks great in the snifter--medium amber (OK, gold) and slightly cloudy, nice off-white head with good retention and lacing.
Fruity esters and spicy notes with a touch of diacetyl, but not off-putting. Not getting a lot of bret, but in the ballpark for the style.
Malt-forward but nicely balanced. Overall very satisfying with alcohol well-hidden--quasi-quaffable (but don't, as it evolves in the glass). Slight touch of spice heat.
Very nice medium body with a slightly oily touch.
Not quite to the level of the classics actually from Belgium, but at a much more attractive price point.
