I had tried the Alesmith Speedway Affogato and was pleasantly surprised, so this one piqued my interest.
The pour is stout black with a 1 cm light brown head which left no lacing. Not unusual for a BA Imperial Stout, but not outstanding either.
The taste began very sweet, full on pastry stout, but that lasted about 2 sips. It settled in with coffee and cacao, some lactose and, I suspect, some vanilla was present around the edges. The barrel is obscured, no bourbon detected. No hops presence either.
The feel is lightly viscous, pretty standard for a stout with lactose as an adjunct. Nice sipping beer.
OA, I enjoyed it and would be happy to have to finish a 4 pack, but as this is one of 4 different BA stouts in the pack, I only had one.

This one pours a very dark black, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells extremely sweet, with vanilla ice cream, milk chocolate fudge, and the lightest amount of roast.
As this warms up, the sweetness fades a bit, but this is still extremely cloying. There’s a little bit of barrel poking through here, but the vanilla, coffee, and especially the lactose just completely bury the barrel character here. It’s tasty, but 12 oz of this is about 10 oz too much. If this didn’t have the lactose, I think it would be more enjoyable – that fake creamy sweetness just isn’t all that pleasant.
This is thick and syrupy, and cloying on the finish. There’s not much booziness, that’s at least a positive here.
I enjoyed this to an extent, but it’s very sloppy, and too sweet.

Pours jet black with a dark caramel head on top. Smells as if you are at a coffee shop! Straight coffee with something sweet added to it. Tastes like sweet coffee with no barrel found in it.
