Poured from bottle into MY SINK!
This was spewing foam for over 5min. My wife thought it was ridiculous that I still wanted to drink from less than half the bottle. What was left was a less than stellar representation of what I think the brewery was going for. Not a great beer to start off the night!

BOTTLE: Brown glass. Unbranded black pry-off pressure cap. 6.2% ABV. 1 pint 9.4 fl oz. Great label art and design.
Acquired: At an Austin, TX bottle shop.
Reviewed live at low altitude in Austin, TX. Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.
Vintage: 2014 (I think?)
ABV: 6.2% ABV.
Style: Wheat ale (per the label).
Serving temp: Cold.
Serving vessel: Tulip.
Expectations: Well above average.
No bubble show forms as it's poured.
HEAD: None. No lacing.
Retention: N/A.
BODY: Murky copper. No yeast particulate or hop sediment is visible.
Looks mundane. I can't say I'm horribly excited to try it.
AROMA: Pear - definitely. Not real cactusy. A bit too sweet, even candied. Not real authentic or genuine.
Aromatic intensity: average.
Not horribly appealing, but generally inviting I guess. There isn't a lot going on here.
TASTE: Pear. Pale malts. There's not a whole lot going on here; it's painfully simple. Balance is flat. Not a gestalt beer. Some will find it insipid.
No hop profile, no yeast character.
Depth of flavour: Shockingly shallow.
Flavour duration: Average.
Flavour intensity: Average.
Flavour amplitude: Poor.
TEXTURE: Generic. Smooth, wet, a biteen overcarbonated, medium-bodied, and unrefreshing.
Not oily, gushed, hot, boozy, astringent, harsh, rough, or scratchy.
This mouthfeel doesn't accentuate the taste at all.
OVERALL: As can be the case with 5 Stones, the premise exceeds the execution. Drinkable but painfully uninspired. I wouldn't trifle with this again. An uncommon miss from a usually above average brewery. Flat, shallow, dull, simple, and uninteresting. This can safely be skipped.

smells sour and like strawberries. a copper color with a tint of pink. I could taste the sweet tunas (prickly pears) up front but this fades to taste like white sugar and vanilla with a bitter finish. the mouth feel is thick just like when you drink agua de tunas. This was very unique and enjoyable. it is amazing how the tunas come through.

Cloudy dark pink pour with a one-finger white head. Fruity and slightly grainy aroma. The taste has the prickly pear nicely out front providing a slightly sweet initial taste that also has a bit of watermelon. Medium body has a distinct wheat presence that balances out the fruity flavor. Really good fruit flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet. Finishes fruity with pear and maybe a hint of strawberry.

Pretty good offering from 5 Stones. Beautiful color, light brown with shade of pink. Taste is combination of that yeasty wheat flavor and a prominent prickly pear note. Even a note like apricot comes through more as it warms up. It's not my favorite from 5 Stones, but it is a more interesting take on a classic wheat beer. Would try again.
