“The Call/Thank You Vets/11/09/18” on bottom of can. In reefer at brewpub. Stored at 42 degrees and served at 42 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 4.5.
Body – Medium yellow, hazy.
Head – Large (Maximum 7.2 cm, aggressive center pour), off-white, medium density froth, excellent retention, slooowly diminishing to a thick five to twelve mm ring and a heaped partial layer.
Lacing – Surprisingly, none.
First pour – Light yellow, clear. Last pour light yellow, hazy.
Aroma – 4 – Pine and citrus, lasts but weakens.
Flavor – 4 - Begins moderately bitter with grapefruit rind balanced with malt. The bitterness lasts well into the aftertaste. No alcohol (6.8 % ABV), no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 4 – Medium, approaches creamy, lively carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 4 – Not really much to say, just a good, solid IPA, very drinkable.
