one of the most interesting beers i have ever had, never seen anything like this before at all, a basic brown ale, but brewed with hungarian nut rolls that have been made in house, apparently somebodys grandmothers recipe. sounds like a gimmick, but i had to try it and i am so glad i did, its amazing, actually tastes like a nut roll, insane! cloudy and matte brown from the tap with a light tan head on it, murky and thick looking for its low abv. aroma of caramel or toffee or something sweet with the cocoa notes in the malt, and honestly nuts and nougat from the added nut rolls, it has me wanting to try the actual nut roll, but that didnt appear to be an option at the brewery when we were there. the flavor is crazy, earthy nutty and desserty sweet at the same time, rich and savory at the same time too, like the salted part really comes through well. literally liquid nut roll, i cant believe it! we had one pour off the bottom of one keg and one off the top of the next one, and they were quite different, both excellent, but obviously there is some settling out that happens, as there is a lot of sediment in this one. despite the slightly unrefined appearance and consistency, this beer is epic, as cool and creative and delicious as it gets, and one of the most inspired brown ales i can ever remember drinking. i loved this, we all did. these guys can do it all! this one is not to be missed!
