Not sure if it's "Ackel's" or "Ackels"
Another contract brew.
A-Pours a light-golden straw-color w/a bit of haze, okay head, little retention, bits of tracing.
S-Bits of sweet pale malt, light grain, faint noble hops. Sometimes it actually smells good, and a minute later I get a fleeting whiff of something I can't pin down, but don't find pleasant...a faint aroma a bit like boiled potatoes and mineral.
T-Light pale malt upfront that opens up mid-palate, and a bit of noble hops in the finish. There is a slight metallic edge that complements the bitterness in the aftertaste.
M-Sharp carbonation, okay balance but not enough there on either end, light-bodied.
D-A cheap contract lager that is nothing special, but still a good lawn-mower beer. It's worth every penny, but uninteresting for anyone expecting anything. Little taste, little to offend, low abv. It goes down easy and would be fine for cooking.
