Aged in Okanagan red wine barrels, our Cherry Brett Saison is invigorated by wild yeast strain Brettanomyces and conditioned on local sour cherries, inviting impressions of cherry pie and tart pit fruit.
Tasting notes: Cherry pie, tart, dry, funky

Cloudy, slightly orange pink color. The head was light pink, but very quickly dropped down to a patchy skiff. Too cloudy to see any bubbles. No lacing.
Sour fruity funk scents. Something sweet and a hint of some spice. Swirling the glass kicked up a volatile mint and just a hint of barnyard.
Very tart and funky flavor. The cherry pops up followed by a steadily evolving blend of funk that winds up at... light cinnamon (?!). The tart takes over again. Mild bitters that grow as it warms in your mouth. The aftertaste is a mix of tart funk with a little cherry.
Slight tongue tingling as it grows to a foam with medium sized bubbles. Medium body. Slightly astringent, as if there are some tannins present.
I was hoping for something like a Belgian Kriek Lambic. This was very different. Very much on the saison side than the lambic branch. This would easily support a much stronger cherry.
